A pair of Northern Cardinals forms the central focus, the male’s vibrant crimson plumage contrasting with the female’s olive-brown feathers. They perch amidst the delicate white and pink-tinged petals of flowering dogwood branches, which twist through the scene. Clusters of deep blue and bright red berries add further points of colour, while a pair of small brown fledglings huddle together on a branch in the upper right corner.
A brilliant red male cardinal pauses on a branch, turning his head towards his more subtly-coloured mate.
The mural’s classic illustrative style and natural subject matter suit a living room or dining area, where its intricate details can be appreciated. The soft cream background and highlights of red and green can coordinate with soft furnishings and wall colours for a cohesive decorative scheme.
Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on porcelain tiles in your choice of three sizes (10cm, 15cm or 20cm) and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
