Badger Study No. 14 – Tile Mural

The mural’s deep greens and earthy browns introduce a calming, natural atmosphere to a living room or snug. Positioned behind a sofa or in an alcove, its detailed composition offers a focal point that draws you into the quiet world of the forest.

A European badger, with its distinctive black and white striped face, emerges into a forest clearing. The scene is anchored by the large, moss covered roots of an old tree, which frame the animal’s den. The woodland floor is a tapestry of deep green ferns, scattered autumn leaves, and vibrant clusters of bluebells, adding pops of blue to the earthy palette. The background depicts a dense, atmospheric wood with light filtering through the canopy, lending the composition a quiet, secluded feel.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
