Brown Hare Study No. 12 – Tile Mural

A handsome brown hare pauses in a sun-dappled meadow, its gaze fixed on something just beyond the frame.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

A meticulously detailed brown hare is the central figure, poised in the right foreground amongst gnarled, mossy tree roots. The creature is surrounded by a tapestry of lush grasses and colourful wildflowers, including white Queen Anne’s lace, purple lupins, and yellow daisies. Behind the meadow, a gentle, misty light breaks through the canopy of a dense woodland, illuminating rolling green hills in the distance and suggesting an early morning atmosphere.

The rich, natural palette of greens and earthy browns introduces a calming, pastoral quality to a living room or study. Installed as a feature wall, this mural’s detailed foreground and soft, distant light provide a sense of depth that can complement rustic or traditional decor schemes.
