A silver-grey tabby with intelligent amber eyes gazes directly forward from a backdrop of intricate floral and leaf patterns.
The portrait of a silver-grey tabby cat, likely a British Shorthair, is rendered with soft, detailed brushwork that captures the texture of its thick fur. Set against a highly decorative background reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts movement, the composition includes stylised golden-brown roses, oak leaves, and Scottish thistles. The colour palette is dominated by warm, earthy tones of ochre, gold, sage green, and the cat’s own gentle grey. This detailed tableau has a calm, stately mood, blending realistic animal portraiture with classic decorative art.
With its rich, warm palette and sophisticated design, this mural becomes an excellent focal point above a mantelpiece or on a feature wall in a living room. The dignified presence of the cat and the classic pattern complement traditional or period-style interiors.
Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
