Grey Heron Study No. 9 – Tile Mural

Watchful herons stand poised amongst the water lilies and cattails of a tranquil marsh.

The tranquil marshland scene, with its cool blues and serene water elements, is particularly suited to a bathroom, where it can foster a calm, restorative atmosphere. Its naturalistic detail and soft watercolour tones would complement both modern and traditional decor, transforming a functional space into a peaceful retreat.

A watercolour painting captures several Great Blue Herons in their wetland habitat. One heron stands in profile in the foreground, its detailed blue-grey plumage contrasting with the warm, diffuse light of the background. Gnarled, mossy trees frame the scene, which is populated with reeds, cattails, and floating white water lilies on the calm, reflective water.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
