Hummingbird and Orchids – Tile Mural

A ruby-throated hummingbird hovers in mid-air, its wings a blur of motion as it approaches a cluster of deep purple orchids.

In a bathroom, this mural’s tropical theme offers an escape, turning the space into a tranquil sanctuary. The deep purples and rich greens work particularly well as a feature wall behind a freestanding bath or within a walk-in shower enclosure, complementing both light and dark tile schemes.

The central focus is a meticulously painted hummingbird with an iridescent red gorget, green back, and soft grey underside. It is surrounded by large, magenta-purple phalaenopsis orchids with intricate yellow and white centres. The background is a dense tapestry of lush green leaves and vines, with a soft, diffused light filtering through from behind.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
