Otter by the River No. 14 – Tile Mural

An inquisitive river otter pauses on a mossy log, its gaze fixed on something just out of sight across the water.

With its tranquil water scene and rich, verdant greens, this mural introduces a peaceful, natural atmosphere to a bathroom. The cool blues of the river and the earthy tones of the otter and trees complement both modern and traditional decors, providing a serene backdrop for a relaxing space.

The composition centres on a brown-furred otter perched on a fallen tree trunk that juts into a gently flowing river. Its fur is detailed, and its whiskers are finely rendered. The surrounding riverbank is dense with lush green ferns and grasses, while ancient, moss covered trees form a canopy overhead, their leaves filtering a soft, warm light that reflects on the water’s surface.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
