Romanesque Palm 1 – Porcelain Tile Mural

Palm trees rise above a dense tapestry of stylised, colourful botanicals, blending tropical and traditional motifs.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

A dense undergrowth of fantastical flowers and scrolling leaves dominates the foreground of this intricate design. Large blossoms in shades of cobalt blue, crimson, and ochre are interwoven with lush, dark green foliage against a lighter, leafy background. In the upper half, several palm trees stand against a pale yellow sky, giving the composition depth and a distinctly tropical character.

The mural’s deep greens and intricate, colourful details provide a dramatic backdrop for a living room feature wall, perhaps behind a sofa or in an alcove. Its rich, warm palette would complement wood furniture and soft furnishings in jewel tones.
