Southern Hospitality – Tile Mural

This mural’s depiction of a bountiful harvest is a natural fit for a kitchen, installed as a feature backsplash behind a range cooker or sink. The warm, earthy palette of terracotta, wood tones, and soft greens harmonises well with both traditional and contemporary kitchen cabinetry, introducing a provincial character to the space.

An abundance of freshly harvested vegetables and fruits fills this rustic scene. Terracotta bowls hold glossy purple aubergines and ripe red tomatoes, while woven baskets are filled with artichokes and leafy herbs. Sunlight from the open casement window catches on a bottle of olive oil, highlighting the textures of the wooden tables and the view of a sun-drenched vineyard stretching towards distant hills.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
