Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

The world is rendered on what appears to be aged, creased parchment, lending the map an authentic historical quality. Continents are outlined in a darker shade of brown against pale blue seas, their interiors filled with a lighter tan. Illustrations of fantastical sea serpents, elegant sailing ships, and ornate compass roses are scattered across the oceans, contributing to its adventurous, exploratory theme.
