With its dominant cool palette of blues and greens, this mural is an excellent feature for a bathroom, where it can establish a serene, spa-like atmosphere. The natural subject matter also pairs well with wood or stone finishes to complete a calming retreat. The detailed wildlife scene offers a focal point without overwhelming the space.
A common kingfisher, with its iridescent blue-green crown and brilliant orange breast, occupies the right side of the composition. It is perched on a gnarled, moss covered branch that extends over a meandering stream dotted with lily pads. The river banks are lush with tall reeds, cattails, and a variety of wildflowers, including purple loosestrife and white daisies, all rendered with soft, painterly detail.
Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes (10cm, 15cm or 20cm) and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
