Kingfisher Study No. 21 – Tile Mural

This mural’s tranquil, waterside subject matter is an excellent match for a bathroom, enhancing the room’s relaxing purpose. The cool palette of greens and blues from the foliage and water would coordinate well with many bathroom suites, particularly when used as a feature behind a freestanding bath or within a large shower enclosure.

The common kingfisher, rendered in rich teals and a contrasting russet orange, is the focal point of this riverside scene. It sits in profile on a gnarled branch that angles across the composition. The background features a winding stream flanked by dense foliage, including reeds, cattails, and wildflowers in muted yellows and whites, all painted in a soft, illustrative watercolour style.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt.
