Kingfisher Study No. 2 – Tile Mural

The central figure is a kingfisher, its turquoise and russet orange plumage rendered in detail. It perches above a gently flowing river, which is dotted with water lilies and bordered by reeds and cattails. Sunlight filters through the dense forest canopy in the background, illuminating the water and highlighting the lush green foliage all around.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
