Kingfisher Study No. 3 – Accent Tile

A kingfisher with brilliant blue and orange plumage sits framed by delicate sprigs of foliage.

The central kingfisher is rendered in shades of azure and teal with a warm orange breast, its feathers detailed with fine lines. This bird is encircled by a wreath of stylised olive-green leaves and small, rust-coloured flowers. The background is a soft cream with subtle staining at the tile corners, suggesting aged paper, and the pattern repeats to show partial birds at the edges.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

The mural’s gentle, natural palette works exceptionally well in a country-style kitchen as a splashback. Its serene subject matter and soft colours can introduce a calming, decorative element to a bathroom or a quiet hallway nook.
