Save the Bees – Tile Mural

Follow the journey of busy bees as they fly through a sunlit meadow filled with flowers towards their woven skep hive.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

A sunlit clearing reveals bumblebees and honeybees buzzing amongst a variety of wildflowers. Tall purple foxgloves and lavender stand in the centre, flanked by yellow sunflowers and daisies, and clusters of pink wild roses. The scene is framed by twisting vines and dark green foliage, which gives the composition depth and a classic, illustrative quality. A traditional straw beehive, or skep, is nestled in the foliage in the lower right corner.

The mural’s deep, natural colour palette brings warmth to a kitchen or dining area, complementing wooden worktops and classic cabinetry. Its detailed depiction of an English garden provides a cheerful and engaging feature wall, particularly effective behind a hob or sink.
