Badger Study No. 19 – Tile Mural

A badger forages amongst the mossy roots of an ancient woodland, its nose to the ground in search of a meal.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

The European badger, with its distinctive black and white striped face, is the central figure in this woodland scene. It moves across a forest floor carpeted with vibrant green moss, scattered autumn leaves, and verdant ferns. In the background, gnarled, ancient trees recede into a misty, soft-lit glade, while clusters of bluebells provide delicate accents of colour throughout the composition. The atmosphere is one of quiet, naturalistic observation.

This mural’s deep, earthy palette of greens and browns introduces a calming, natural element into a living room or a spacious hallway. Position it as a full feature wall to complement wooden furniture and rustic decor schemes.
