Hedgehog Study No. 27 – Tile Mural

The central focus is a detailed illustration of a hedgehog, its face looking directly forward. This portrait occupies the four central tiles of the grid-like composition. Surrounding the hedgehog, individual tiles showcase a variety of flora, including yellow primroses, purple foxgloves, bluebells, and branches of oak leaves with acorns.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

The mural’s gentle, naturalistic theme and cream background make it an excellent feature behind a hob or sink in a country-style kitchen. Its illustrative detail also provides a welcoming and intricate focal point for a hallway or boot room.
