Kingfisher Study No. 24 – Tile Mural

The central figure is a common kingfisher, its feathers a brilliant mix of turquoise and cobalt blue against a warm orange breast. It sits above a gently rippling pond where white water lilies float amongst green pads. Framing the scene are lush reeds, purple and orange irises, and the leafy branches of waterside trees, all rendered in a rich, naturalistic palette.

A vividly coloured kingfisher pauses on a gnarled branch, its sharp gaze fixed on the water below.

The tranquil waterside scene and its cool blue and green tones make this mural an ideal feature for a bathroom, complementing natural materials like wood or slate. Its detailed composition provides a calming focal point above a freestanding bath or within a shower enclosure.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
