Red Squirrel Study No. 11 – Tile Mural

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.

The scene is a rich tapestry of woodland life, centred on the russet-furred squirrel perched on a gnarled bough. Surrounding it are oak leaves in shades of amber, orange, and deep green, punctuated by clusters of bright red berries and delicate ferns. In the background, ancient trees with thick, textured trunks recede into a misty, atmospheric forest, which gives the composition considerable depth.

With its palette of warm browns, deep greens, and autumnal russets, this mural introduces a cosy, traditional character to a space. It works well as a feature wall in a living room or dining area, complementing natural wood furniture and cultivating a welcoming atmosphere.
