Victorian Romance II – Tile Mural

Baskets overflowing with ripe tomatoes and artichokes sit alongside fresh garlic and figs, ready for a Mediterranean feast.

The mural’s warm terracotta and rich, earthy colours introduce an inviting, rustic atmosphere to a kitchen. Its classic still-life composition works particularly well as a splashback behind a hob or sink, complementing natural wood or stone worktops.

A rustic wooden table displays a bountiful collection of Mediterranean produce. Wicker baskets are filled with vibrant red tomatoes and green artichokes, while braids of garlic and clusters of purple figs rest on embroidered linen cloths. Olive branches in terracotta vases, cruets of golden oil, and copper pans hanging on the wall complete the scene, all rendered in a warm, painterly style with earthy tones.

Every mural is printed and kiln fired to order in Somerset, England, on ceramic tiles in your choice of three sizes — 10cm, 15cm or 20cm — and two finishes, Gloss or Matt. Colours are fired into the glaze, so the design is permanent, scratch resistant and completely waterproof, making it suitable for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms and showers.
